Or maybe it’s even the year you take control of your life!

Who decides each year’s colours?
We’re glad you asked! Our head designer and the owner of Love U Designs, Emily Liebich, is the one who creates the latest designs and calls the shots on new and fabulous wrap dresses.
If you want to get colour suggestions from the main source though, you’ve got to go with
Pantone. They are
the leading company in terms of fashion trends, design—anything and everything you can think of in terms of colours, they are the leading voice of them.
Living coral
This is Pantone’s definitive colour of the year. Living coral,
as they describe, is “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.”
Think of feeling vibrant and full of life. Think of our need to stay authentic and true to yourself in an ever-changing world where technology and social media are always shifting and are so integrated into our lives. Think of our need to take a break from all of that and to really get in touch with our true selves, and to really and truly take care of ourselves.
Think of all that, and put it into a dress colour.
Boom—you’ve got living coral.
Spring/Summer dress trends for 2019
Pantone has also released the following colours in their annual report on what will be the top most trending colours in fashion during spring and summer this year:
- Fiesta
- Jester
- Turmeric
- Pink Peacock
- Pepper Stem
- Aspen Gold
- Princess Blue
- Toffee
- Mango Mojito
- Terrarium Moss
- Sweet Lilac
One thing these colours have in common is their ability to be bold and confident in their foremost shades of colour yet soft in their undertones, much like their colour of the year. These are meant to be empowering, creative, and joyful hues. Let’s make that magic happen with this year’s dresses, shall we?
Neutrals
Because you’ve just got to balance out the colours somehow. Structure is always necessary in everyday fashion, and that includes the very wrap dresses we make at Love U Designs too. These neutrals work fine on their own as well, but they also serve as the foundation for many of the distinctive colour contrasts for 2019. They are:

What were last year’s colours?
Last year was full of many dark yet bold colours in the latest fashions, some of which we brought out in our personal designs and the latest dresses. For example, you can see the drastic yet gorgeous colours in

Just because these colours were popular last year doesn’t mean they’re automatically out of style though! It really depends on the make of the dress or how you wear it. That’s why we love selling convertible wrap dresses—they can be stylish no matter what colours they’re made of!
